Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Vantage or Crate Control (each, "the App"), or by purchasing a subscription or license, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The Apps are published by VANTAGE-APPS, an independent software studio operating as a DBA (Doing Business As) registered in the State of California, USA.

2. The services

Vantage is a desktop application for macOS that automates parts of a job search: finding and scoring job postings against your resume, tailoring application materials, tracking applications, generating interview preparation content, and drafting LinkedIn posts. Depending on your plan, AI and search requests are made either with API keys you supply ("bring your own keys") or through our licensing server using keys we operate on your behalf (paid plans and trials).

Crate Control is a macOS application that completes a DJ music library: it matches tracks against online catalogues, analyses audio locally to propose genres, tags, energy scores and cue points, and — only when you press Apply — writes the changes you approved to rekordbox's database (backing it up first, unless you disable that) or exports them as a rekordbox XML file. Both Apps run on your own computer.

3. License keys

Paid plans, purchases, and trials are activated with a license key issued to you personally. A key is for your own use on your own devices; you may not share, resell, or publish it. We may deactivate keys that show signs of sharing or abuse. Beta access codes are granted by invitation and may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Billing

Vantage plans (Starter, Pro, Unlimited) are billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Plans include a monthly allowance of agent runs as described on the pricing page; unused runs do not roll over. You can cancel, change plans, or update your payment method at any time through the subscription management portal linked in the App — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

Crate Control is a one-time purchase, also processed by Stripe. Your license does not renew and does not expire; it unlocks the App's full features on your own devices for as long as the App exists.

Prices may change; a subscription price change will be announced by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before it affects them. A change to Crate Control's price never affects licenses already purchased.

5. Free trials

Both Apps offer a free trial — 7 days for Vantage, 14 days for Crate Control — requiring an email address but no payment method. Trials end automatically and never convert into a charge. One trial per person. When a trial ends, the App's paid features stop working until you subscribe or buy a license; in Crate Control, analysis you already ran is kept and applies the moment a license key is entered.

6. Refunds

The free trials exist so you can fully evaluate an App before paying, so refunds are not automatic. If something went wrong — a billing error, a double charge, or the App genuinely failing to work — email [email protected] and we will review each request individually. Cancelling a subscription always stops future charges while keeping access through the end of the paid period. Nothing in this section limits refund or withdrawal rights that consumer-protection law in your country guarantees, and refunds we grant are issued to the original payment method.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use an App to violate any law or the terms of the platforms and services it interacts with, not to misrepresent your qualifications in Vantage (the App tailors how your real experience is presented; it does not fabricate experience), and not to attempt to circumvent run quotas, feature gates, trials, or license checks.

8. Your data and your library

Your resume, configuration, job data, music analysis results, and library edits are stored locally on your device. How data flows when the Apps make network requests is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Crate Control writes to your rekordbox database only when you press Apply, and by default backs the database up first, restorable from inside the App. Your music files themselves are never modified. You remain responsible for keeping your own backups of your library and music, as you would with any tool that edits it.

9. Third-party services

The Apps interact with third-party services — for Vantage: Anthropic, SerpApi, Hunter.io, Resend, and Buffer; for Crate Control: Beatport, AcoustID/MusicBrainz, Apple's iTunes Search API, GitHub, and (only with your own key) Google Gemini; for both: Stripe. On bring-your-own-keys plans you are responsible for your own accounts and costs with those services. We are not affiliated with and not responsible for third-party services, and outcomes — job-search results or catalogue matches — depend on factors outside the Apps' control.

10. No warranty

The Apps are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that an App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will produce any particular outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of an App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost job opportunities, third-party API costs, or data loss.

12. Intellectual property

Vantage, Crate Control, and all their source code, design, and content are © 2026 Albert Munté. All rights reserved. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Apps without explicit written permission. Content the Apps generate for you (tailored resumes, posts, prep materials, tags, cue points, playlists, exports) is yours.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the products evolve. Material changes will be announced by email to active subscribers. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
